And then, That's IT.

I'm sure there's some kind of reasonable explanation for this, but it looks like Carmel Indiana has just HAD IT with being bicycle friendly.  I could look it up and answer my own question, but instead I like to imagine the voice of protest at a town meeting.

"Look, we tried it, and it was ok, but... We all knew this wasn't going to work out permanently.  I mean, "bikes?" Come on, really?  I'm trying to raise a family here, not a pot-farm.  Let's bury this thing."

(Editor's Note; People in Indiana equate bicycling with hippies and socialism.  Being respectful of cyclists never created a job, you see.)
