I have never read a book about grammar. I have been assigned that very thing many times. I read a David Foster Wallace essay about grammar and proper usage once though. The title of the book that essay is in is a fair assessment of my attitude towards it's subject; "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again."
