Phil van Hest | Tuesday, July 19, 2011 It begins. Today I leave for Kansas City via Chicago, half finished script and 7 clean pairs of drawers in my bag. It is Tuesday, my first show is Friday evening at 6:30. 3 days to finish a 60 minute show. I have done this before, but each time it turns me into an unadulterated sweat-mess.
A comedy show about the banking industry? What I was thinking has not yet been written. Thanks to the debt ceiling "crisis" I get to rewrite portions of the performance every day.
I will feel either a lot better or a lot worse in four days. I think, therefore I can. Let's see if the Midwest wants to think with me.
