Lavender Shortbread

I used the Shortbread recipe found in the TARTINE pastry and confectionery cookbook, by Elisabeth M. Prueitt and Chad Robertson.  The lavender was my own augmentation.  As always, my goal in the kitchen is to make people weep with joy.  This little batch reduced seven people to sobbing confessions of childhood fears and dark sexual desires.  Success!
