Ruined by the internet.

I ran into a dear friend at the Long Beach Green Festival.  She had big news!

"We bought a house!  I can't believe it!  We're home-owners!"

Did I do a little victory dance with her on the spot?  Did I clasp her hands in mine and jump in circles around the parking lot?  No.  I smiled slightly and said "Yeah, I heard about that," because I had seen her post on FB.
