Tucumcari, NM

Stopped for gas in Tucumcari, New Mexico.  Hot day, and busted air conditioning in the car.  We (FINALLY) found a market, where we could get some iced tea or something.  I found one variety -- only one variety -- of canned iced tea.  And wall to wall bags of something called "Deer Corn."  At the checkout, I asked the cashier girl, "What is deer corn?" 

She said, "It's corn, for deer." 

The iced tea turned out to be undrinkable.  About sixty percent high fructose corn syrup, we estimated.
