California Governor Jerry BrownNew California Governor Jerry Brown, overheard on the radio giving a speech of some sort regarding the CA economy (Paraphrased because I don't feel like looking up the transcript):
"Things are tough, really tough. We will need to follow the example of people like the Native Americans, who have adapted and survived through really difficult times."
I don't know about you, but I sometimes wish the Native Americans had "won," and not been forced to adapt and "survive."
Barack Obama overheard on the radio this morning (Again with the paraphrasing, Phil.):
"This recovery has been tough, and is still going to be tough - we've got a big hole to dig ourselves out of."
Sentences ending in prepositions notwithstanding, you can't dig yourself out of a hole, unless you are planning on coming out in China. Which might be the plan, come to think of it. Immigration would be made easier, transfers of capital simplified...maybe a hole to China is just what this country needs.
